June Festivals in Italy - Italy Right Now - Umbria, Verona, Rome

June is festival Month in Italy's regions. The Giro d'Italia that seduced the country and Italy-lovers during May gives way to authentic festivals in Italy's towns.

If you are traveling in Italy during the first week of June be sure to plan around the June 2 holiday, the national holiday celebrating the Festa della Republica - Italy's birthday - is celebrated in all Italy's regions. Italy's trains to the spiaggia, the beach, from places like Florence, Bologna, Parma, Rome, Turin, and Milan to the beaches are full. Also, the highways are packed with cars full of the Italian vacationers dreaming of the Italian seacoast and Italy's beaches for a few days. So try to plan your Italy vacation or Italy train travel around this date.

Another one of Motorino Man's favorite festivals in Italy is the Feast of Corpus Christi. We like to be in Spello for the L'infiorata, which are flower mosaics that take days to create from local flowers and cover the streets, which flower mosaics are then walked on by the proccession on festival day.
